1. Acceptance of these terms
By using KYC Studio India (kycstudio.in) you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
KYC Studio India provides free, browser-based tools to crop, enhance, lay out and print identity cards and documents, compress and convert images and PDFs, create passport photos, signatures, QR codes and resumes, and use everyday calculators. All processing happens on your own device. We may add, change or remove tools at any time without notice.
3. Not a government service
We are an independent utility. We are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by UIDAI, the Income Tax Department, NSDL/Protean, UTIITSL, the Election Commission of India, the National Health Authority or any other government body. We do not issue, verify or authenticate any identity document. A print made with our tools is a copy of a document you already hold. It is not a new official document.
4. Permitted use
You may use the tools to:
- print, resize or convert your own documents, or a customer's documents with that customer's consent;
- prepare copies for KYC, applications, exams and other lawful purposes;
- use the tools commercially at a CSC, cyber café or print counter, free of charge.
5. Prohibited use
You must not use the site to:
- create, forge, alter or tamper with any identity document, or change its name, number, photo, date, QR code or any other detail;
- impersonate another person, or process someone's documents without their knowledge or consent;
- commit fraud, or break the Aadhaar Act 2016, the Information Technology Act 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 or any other law;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the site in a way that harms it or other users;
- present our tools or their output as an official government service.
Forging or misusing identity documents is a serious criminal offence in India.
6. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the documents you process, for having the right to process them, and for how you use the output. Operators who serve customers are responsible for protecting their customers' data, including clearing saved browser data on shared computers (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Output and print accuracy
We work hard to make crops, layouts and sizes (such as CR80 / 85.6 × 54 mm cards and passport photo sizes) accurate. However, results depend on the quality of the source file, your browser, your printer settings and paper. Automatic features such as corner detection, enhancement and OCR can make mistakes. Always check the preview and a test print before final use or before handing it to a customer. Whether a printed copy is accepted is decided by the office or organisation that receives it.
8. Intellectual property
The website, its design, code, templates and branding belong to KYC Studio India or its licensors. You may use the output you create for any lawful purpose. You may not copy, resell or republish the site or its templates as your own service. Government emblems and logos that appear on documents belong to their respective owners.
9. Third-party services
Some features depend on outside services, such as Google Fonts, the India Post pincode API and a public CDN for OCR engine files. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or policies.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and all tools are provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KYC Studio India is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. This includes rejected applications, wasted prints or materials, lost data or business losses. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the tools or your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
