Privacy Policy

KYC Studio India is built so that your identity documents never leave your device. This page explains exactly what happens to your data.

In short: your files are processed inside your own browser and are never uploaded to us. We have no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers. A few tools save settings or drafts in your browser, and a few make limited requests to outside services, all listed below.

1. Who we are

KYC Studio India (kycstudio.in) is an independent set of browser-based document tools for cyber cafés, CSC operators, print counters and citizens. We are not affiliated with UIDAI, the Income Tax Department, the Election Commission of India, the National Health Authority or any government body.

2. Your documents stay on your device

When you open an Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, photo, signature, PDF or any other file in our tools, it is read and processed by code running in your own browser, using your device's memory. Cropping, enhancement, compression, conversion, OCR, QR generation and print-sheet layout all happen locally.

  • We do not upload, receive, store or see your files or the results.
  • Files are held in browser memory only while the page is open, and are discarded when you close or reload the tab.
  • Downloads (PDF, JPG, PNG and so on) are created on your device and saved directly to it.

3. What we do not collect

  • No user accounts, sign-up or login.
  • No analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts.
  • No cookies are set by this website.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data, because we do not collect it in the first place.

4. Data saved on your device

Some tools remember your work or preferences using your browser's local storage. This data stays in your browser on your device. It is never sent to us, and you can delete it at any time.

  • Resume Studio: your resume draft (which can include your name, contact details, education and work history), chosen template and colour theme, so you can continue later.
  • Calendar & Date Suite: the holiday list you select.
  • Smart ID Sheet Maker and Print Studio: print, layout and display preferences, and templates you save.

On a shared or public computer (for example in a cyber café), clear this data when you finish: use your browser's "Clear browsing data" option for this site, or use a private/incognito window, which deletes it automatically when closed.

5. Requests to third-party services

Like any website, loading certain features makes your browser connect to outside servers. These services can see technical information such as your IP address and browser type. None of them receive your documents.

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts used across the site.
  • India Post pincode API (api.postalpincode.in): when you search the Pincode Directory, the pincode or district you type is sent to this service to fetch post office details.
  • jsDelivr CDN: the OCR PDF tool downloads its text-recognition engine and language files from this public CDN. Only the engine files are downloaded; your PDF is not sent anywhere.

QR codes you create (for example WhatsApp or Google Maps links) are generated on your device. A link is only opened if someone scans the code and chooses to visit it.

6. Hosting logs

The company that hosts this website may automatically keep standard server logs, such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser type, for security and to keep the service running. These logs never contain your documents, because your documents are never sent to the server.

7. For CSC and cyber café operators

If you process documents on behalf of customers, you are responsible for handling their personal data lawfully, including under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Aadhaar Act, 2016. Only process documents with the customer's consent, do not keep copies longer than needed, and clear the browser's saved data on shared machines.

8. Children

The tools are not directed at children. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect data from children. A parent or guardian should process documents on behalf of a minor.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask about, correct or erase personal data held about you. Since your documents and drafts stay on your own device, you are in full control: clearing your browser's site data removes everything this website stored. 10. Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change goes live.
